Volodymyr Budnikov

Bio

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1947

Graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1971).

He began his artistic career in the late 1960s with active exhibition practice and has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1975.

Honored Artist of Ukraine, professor at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. In 1998, he was named Artist of the Year and received the Golden Section Award at the III International Art Festival in Kyiv.

He lives and works between Kyiv and Berlin (since 2022, due to the full-scale war in Ukraine).
