Bio

Born in Vradiyivka, Mykolaiv Region, Ukraine in 1960.

Lives and works in Uzhgorod, Ukraine.

Graduated from the T. H. Shevchenko Republican Art School in Kyiv (1978) and the Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts, 1984).

Oleg Tistol is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and, since 2024, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

Collections

Oleg Tistol's works are represented in numerous museums and collections around the world, including the PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Norton Dodge Collection (USA), Moscow History Museum, Christoph Merian Stiftung (Basel, Switzerland), and the state collection of the Ministry of Culture of Turkey (Ankara), as well as in private collections in Europe and the USA.
